When Chelsea Givens discovered that her ex-boyfriend Drew dumped her to be with her former best friend Lizzie, she'd never felt so betrayed in her life. Then her new friend Shannon tells her she can help set things right. Chelsea's willing to listen, but what Shannon wants her to believe -- that she shared a past life with Drew -- is impossible. And what she wants her to do to get him back … well, it's downright crazy.

Could Shannon be telling the truth? And if she is, what lengths will Chelsea go if it means making Lizzie pay?

Find out in Vengeance, the second part of the Transcend Time Saga.

*Vengeance is the short story that bridges the events in Remembrance and the final novel in the Saga
” GoodReads’ blurb

This is not really going to be a review, because the story is super short and going on about it for too long would ruin for other readers (you know how I like to avoid spoilers), but I needed to write something anyway.

I really loved Remembrance, and I was looking forward to Vengeance with a passion. Not only because I wanted to see how the story moved on, but because the one character I hated the most would get the spotlight and I needed to see how that worked.

Well, first off, my dislike of Chelsea is something purely personal. I get that most people should be able to sympathize with her at least up to the point where she tries to prove that her friend and boyfriend had been cheating behind her back towards the end of Remembrance. And while I get that she has reasons to be hurt, and that she’s not truly conscious of her actions in Vengeance...

Wow.

I mean it. Wow.

Chelsea begins to remember, but her case is not like Drew’s or Lizzie’s. She just gets the feeling that she should have finished with the guy... And then she takes steps to make sure that she does. Can’t say anything more.

Part of me wants Chelsea to partially succeed – partially! Because I want to see her face when she realized just what she wishes for. I want to see if the hurt will consume her, or if she will understand.

And, of course, I want to see who the new characters are. Well, not who. We know them. More like, what’s their stake in this. Because I’m fairly sure that they’re not the kind of people who help out of the goodness of their hearts...

I guess Vengeance’s role was to pique the reader’s curiosity and to bridge with the action to come, when it seemed that our beloved characters would get their happily ever after. I have to say that boy, does it succeed!

I can’t wait for Transcend Time #2! Who knows when it’s coming out anyway? I must find out!
