Follow Friday #3

Follow Friday time! As you already know: this is a meme hosted by Alison Can Read and Parajunkee, where we have two featured bloggers and one question to answer. Wanna see what this week's question is?

Q. Do you have a favorite series that you read over and over again? Tell us a bit about it and why you keep on revisiting it?

Y'know, this one's actually hard.  For example, a series I love would be A Song of Ice and fire. The conflict, the ability to understand and simpathize with all sides, and the fact that there's not truly evil characters - just truly human characters, which might seem similar at times... - turn Westeros into a world I could spend my life at. But each book of the series is over 800 pages, so...

Other books I'd re-read would be The Iron Fey series, but I've just read them for the first time so... no point. Same goes for The Broken Empire - book 1 just came out, so I need to wait a little before revisiting, no matter how much I'd like to. Harry Potter is something I've wanted to go through, in succession and with a critical eye, for the longest time. But it's seven book, and the last four are thick!

Then, I have to admit that I don't re-read all that often. Time constraints and all. Need to get new stuff reviewed, find out new trends...

What about you? What do you re-read the most? Do you re-read at all?

  1. I've heard the Iron Fey is really good but I haven't gotten around to reading it yet. And Harry Potter does take a lot of time to reread, but it's so worth it! Great answer :)

  2. New follower here!

I love the Song of Ice series, but I agree there are a lot of pages to re-read in that series!

Last year I did go back and re-read the HP series, which I do a lot, but this time I did it for an academic purpose and found the process much different from when I just read it for enjoyment.

Thanks for stopping by mu blog :)
