The Edward Cullen comment kind of killed half my list *laughs* (sorry, he's just not my type) but let's try something anyway:

In YA, a funny and cute story I'm reading right now is Jessica's guide to dating the dark side. I think it might work!

If you don't mind that it's adult, the best vampire recommendation ever would be to get started on the Elemental Mysteries series. It's indie, available in paperback, and features a super-hot and sweet vampire. The love aspect might be slow if you prefer Twilight style, but the characters are incredibily solid - which gives us an extra real relationship. I got books one and two reviewed (A Hidden Fire and This Same Earth) so be sure to check them out.

How's that sound? :)Ron C. Oh, wow, thanks for the heads up!...Hey, there,Ron!

Oh, wow, thanks for the heads up! I saw this book while looking through your reviews, got excited, since I LOVE vampires (the romantic ones, though, lol), and then...got little bubble completely deflated when I read your review, for which I thank you since it saved me some money! Yeah, those are HUGE plot and character flaws you've pointed out!

Well, anyway...now I 'd like to know at least some of those vampire titles you'd recommend!! Not the entire list, of course, just a few -- like three or four -- that you're pretty sure would be perfect for an EDWARD CULLEN fan like me....

Thanks again for the detailed review!! : )

Maria @ http://anightsdreamofbooks.blogspot.com/Maria Beharhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13635809880830316283noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5242061598427361321.post-63484535780804198702012-01-12T15:02:15.290+01:002012-01-12T15:02:15.290+01:00I can officially reply to your comments now! Yay! ...I can officially reply to your comments now! Yay!

Ahem. Yes. I love, love vampire stories - but I need them to be a bit more solid to truly enjoy them. This was a pity because it could have been promising. I know sometimes there's a second edition coming out really fast fixing issues found by readers and reviewers, but I don't know if that was the case here. There was a cover change, but no idea about content.

And I don't really agree with the principle anyway: take care of the product before putting it out and all that.

Thanks a lot for the comment!Ron C. I like to understand my characters, sounds like these need to be a bit more fleshed out. Thanks for a good honest review.Rebeccahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13743273886505961664noreply@blogger.com
